ABOUT
Welcome to the NYC Belize Parkfest
This event is for all the Belizeans that need a reminder of who we are as a people and for the Communities in New York City to notice this “Hidden Gem” group of people. The NYC Belize Parkfest is open to any and every one locally and internationally.
The purpose of the NYC Belize Parkfest is to showcase our Belizean culture to NYC while raising funds to help sponsor children to continue education in Belize while also trying to improve the schools with updated technology.

Festival History

The Belizean Parkfest started at the New York Yankees Stadium in the 70's, every Sunday, which was then a football/soccer field at the time. Later separate Organizations joined together and started the Parkfest in Brooklyn. After it was dismantled, it was then restored by Founder Buddy Brown in the early 90’s. It was then he decided to make it into something more.
The Belizean Parkfest then became a cultural festival held every year to showcase Belizean Culture to the New York City area. Live music mixed with the delicious scent of Belizean cuisine, add in the family-friendly atmosphere, and what you have is an exciting day filled with culture and fun.
The Belizean Parkfest had stopped for a few years due to financial complications but now all Belizeans can look forward to it coming back. The Belizean Parkfest is now being revived with a new name, new look, without losing the vibe of the Hidden Gem of the Caribbean.
